One of the original collections, this contains a variety of sarcastic quips, witticisms, and assessments of various sorts. One point about sarcasm is that it can be quite subtle, or it can be 'laid on with a trowel.' The master of sarcasm was perhaps Oscar Wilde, who is well represented here and elsewhere in the collection.
